Fosgate Power Hx2 Help

I have 2 RF POwer HX2's, which are DVCs 1000 watts rms, 2000 peak and a 1050 S Powe Fosgate amp which is 525 watts x 2 @ 2ohms and 1050 bridged.

Well now to the problem, last week I took them to get installed to a nearby shop that has some good creditability. I asked them to wire my subs at 2 ohm each and they done so, but only 1 wire is coming out of the custom box. Then the other day, I carefully looked at my amp and found out that it had been bridged, so that is running at 4 ohms.

I decided to look at the amp cause it shut down on me the other day because it was getting too hot and also because I felt that those subs would be hitting way harder.

Would that be the reason why the amp is getting hot, and also how bad is the current setup. I am going to go back this weekend, so please I need your help.

if your amp is overheating and shutting down at 4 ohm then RF really has gone down in quality of product. anyway i would take it back and ask them why the hell they didn't do what you asked which is simply wire them in 2 channel's. although, my guess is they did a series parallel wire setup to get you a 2 ohm mono load??? i'm just making a guess on that one but with dual 2 ohm subs you either get a 1 or 4 ohm load per driver. so if they wired in series then your gettin an 8 ohm load, parallel a .5 ohm load series parallel you'd get a 2 ohm load. i don't know if that amp can do a bridged 2 ohm??
