Your still going to get severe voltage drop, therefore you will not be getting the most out of the amps, id get a deep cycle but thats just my opinion. The electrical system is one of the most important things when it comes to car audio. Yes it will run decent with out it, but it will run grand with it

hey eardrummin don't go there. i'm not even going to comment on what you said for the simple reason of i don't need to. anyway blackgeltabs on most deep cycle bats though don't they put more of a strain on your alt. unless you have a bigger one to use??? i am just curious seeing as how i don't know much about electrical systems. oh an to eardrummin, where in my post did i say you had to buy a new RF amp let alone that the new stuff they make is good??

nah nah. Alright with a deep cycle, its called that becsue they can go through "deep cycles" which is where the battery will basicly go to a very low charge usually around 9.6 volts. The strain on your alternator is much more minimal than haveing your amps draw staright from the main battery and having the alt trying too keep up with that. You can call them a crutch, they help out So instead of ******* all the power from the main battery and casuing sever light dimming(which is voltage drop) it sucks that from the battery in the trunk. And even a quite small alternator like mine can keep up and keep it charged even during intense bass that dosent stop like 3-6 mafia. But this is where you gotta make sure you have 0gauge from the main to the trunk so it is basiclly free flowing current, its also good idea to rewire the alt to the main battery, when i did mine I used 4awg thats just becasue its only 65amps otherwise I would have used 0awg.
