Jl Audio Or Kicker

for sq the 12w62s. For a sh*t load of dirty bass the L7s (remember they hold the world record (or did not too long ago). I really like the 12w6v2s A LOT. Have you listened to both of them? Try to if you havent and make the decision on which one you like the most.

I wouldnt say kicker has dirty bass. Maybe you never heard a good L5/L7 install. The w6v2 are good sub but for the price there is better out there and the Kicker would be one of them. The Sq of the JL is better but the Kicker is louder and can have good SQ in a good install. Install is everything. But thats just my 2 cent's.

I love my L7's. They would do really well on that kicker 1200.1 amp. Just make sure you get the dual 4 ohm Voice coil version so u can run at 1 ohm mono. The kicker 1200.1 only puts out 600 at 2 ohm mono.

If you really want to rock those two L7's and spend less on 2400 watts than u would on 1200 watts, go with two of the JBL 1200.1's. Still go with the DVC 4 ohm versions, then wire it up for a 2 ohm mono load on each amp. The JBL's will give a cleaner output at 2 ohms than at 1ohm and if u adjust it right u shouldn't have any problems blowing speakers. Also if u ever wanted to maybe add two more L7's, you could still be giving them 600 watts per sub(to 4 subs) instead of them getting a measly 300watts(to 4 subs). Solo's dont do much off of 300 watts. They would seriously slam with 1200 watts per sub. However, if u wanted to compete and not have 1200 watts per sub 24/7, then go with the DVC 2 ohm versions. Then u could run your 1200.1's at 4 ohm mono and get 600 watts to each sub for everyday listening and when u go to a competition just rewire the speakers for a 1 ohm load and give them 1200 watts each. Good luck.

depending on box size....i would run a solobaric against a jl anyday...people forget kicker wins world championships in sq i do believe they took the gold in 3 of the 4 top classes in pro ..jl course won the other...

im just wondering hear, whats the big deal about the install???? im kinda new to this but why do you people say it has to be installed so good? ive heard 90% install and 10% product, now how can that possibly be? just wondering. and i dont really understand ohms and how to wire them if there supposed to be in parralel or however that works, i need to learn a lot more still before i buy new subs and an amp.

please go no if you can. and i want to get 2 15s for my next subs really bad, cuz i just want to have a ton of spl. but i think it would be a very tight fit in my trunk, and i was wondering if i could build a box that would tilt down or face the subs up so i could fit tehm, would that work?
