okay my friend just got a concept amp. i can't remember the model # but anyway to bridge it we run the +of the right and the - of the left channel right. because its 2 channel. and he has 2 4ohm subs in seperate boxes. now if we run the wire from the amp to the first sub and then from the first sub to the second that should be a 2ohm load right??

well thats what we did and when you turn up the volume ever to 01 it just sat there and went thump thump thump over and over again. so we tried it with one 4 ohm sub bridged instead of 2 and thump thump thump the same thing. but when it is in stereo it works fine. so if any one hjas an answer it would be greatly appresiated. thankyou

Not to insult your intelligence or anything like that but did you make sure the amp is actually "bridgeable". If it is then try maybe using the - of the right and the + of the left.......all amps vary on how they are wired for bridging.

You would need to check your owner's manual because concept has some amps that are not bridgeable so you would need to know what series you have because the owner's manual gives you wiring configs for all their line of amps

thanks

you can do a 2 ohm load ive seen a picture how to do it in the lowrider magazine in there music thing they put in the magazine everymonth, it showed how to wire an amp to 2 ohms, im not sure who wrote it and if its correct but i know i saw it it said use a positive of channel one and a negative of channel 2 and the negative of channel 1 and the positive of channel 2 thats just what it said, im not saying thats right, im not sure if it is so just to help ya if it is right lol

your amps probably jacked.. did you ever check if it worked when you try just one channel, dont try bridging it make sure it works first.. then try and bridge it both ways.. you have to have your speakers wired in parallel just like you do when you have a mono amplifier. Also it may be that you arent supposed to run your subs at 2 ohms bridged, most amps dont want you to do that.
