Quick question: 1ohm vs 2ohm

1 ohm stable Class D amps will generally be more efficient when run at 2 ohms.

If you get a 2 ohm stable amp, it's generally either a class A/B, crappy, or a (more than you can afford) 10kw+ amp. A/B amps are significantly less efficient than Class D... so I wouldn't go down that road.

If efficiency is your only goal, Class D's at 4 ohm can get er dun at 85% eff. Think Sundown, US Amps, and other mid to high-end companies.

Thanks. Kicker makes class D amps they are rated at 2 ohm. I was asking because im looking into the zx1000.1 or zx1500.1

Excellent. I should have just said that in the first place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I have had the 1000.1 and a 1200.1 along with the 300, 400, 600 and a 750 never had a problem out of any. I did somehow manage to blow a 250.2 though.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
