burning off or burning up?

ok so i got my 4 RE8s bac into their box after it had been painted and what not. And i have been playing them but whenever i play them i smell sumthing bad coming from them. Now i dont know if it is jsut buring the glue off or am i burning the voice coils?

Now the 4 are getting 420watts total. They are wired down to a single 2 ohm load. Any tips or replies are greatly appricieated

Honestly its more then likely jsut the glue coming off it really doesnt smeel great lol . But for safety make sure your wiring and ohm laods are correct to avoid clipping. Check ur tinsel leads .

Also be very careful with ur gain knob u can clip and amp that way. Which may cause you to blow ur subs . Basically look for the wire to be burnt or broken in anyway. You could have burned your amp aswell but im guessing you would be complaining about ur stuff not working so thats not the case.
