2003 Mazda 6s Build Log!

Thanks :p

I'm either going to try a lower tuned box, or going to go with a new build. I'm going to do either 6 10's or 12 8's off of the same 3000 watts november-december if I can't get this MT sounding how I want it to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Play around with the box. You should be able to get a nasty low end outta that setup.

What are the specs on the current enlcosure? Size, tuning, port area.....

I would also recommend putting the sub closest to the left side in the box you have now. Theres a big pocket of wasted space right now and it would do better on the other side //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The current enclosure is 4.1 cubes at 35hz after displacement. I heard it didn't matter where the sub went as it will use all of the airspace regardless, so I put it all the way towards the right for a visual balance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

Port area is ummmm 60ish sq inches. I think it came out to 58 sq in.

Yeah eventually I'll try building another box, but I wanna enjoy it as is for a bit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Thanks for all the suggestions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thats not true. If anything its better there than on the other side. If it was on the other side, you could have cancellations from the port and the sub.

Hm good to know, cancellation is too confusing for my blood. :p

So did those PGs fit without any mods? Looks like you put the tweets in the door, but would they have worked in the pillars?
The PG tweets were a bit bigger than the stock tweets, and I couldn't get them to fit inside the pillar pod that came without hacking it up and making a different mounting bracket, so I figured I'd just throw em in the door panel.

Good job.
Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

try a smaller box and tune it to about 32hz
Yeah next time I'm planning on tuning it to like 30-32.

I moved it further back in the trunk though and it hits the lows MUCH better, still could get a bit lower though.

And as for the size of it, it seems everyone that ran the 15 MT had from like 3.9-4.2, so I figured I'd do the same, lol.
