i think my amp went into protection mode. how do i fix?

unplugging the rcas for a few minutes usually does it for my amp for some reason

ok well withouth the subs or rca hooked up it still does the same thing but ill leave everything unplugged for a while to see if it works

ok so i decided to clean the connection between the battery and the wire cuz it was all corroded and the wire disolved in my hand so theres my problem

ok so i tottaly got a new connector and its still not working that little light comes on

Last time I had an amp go into protect on me, there was a wiring fault in the sub box, there was a wire that had part of the jacket broken, and it was hitting the terminal for the other wire.

none my friends have systems but ill try that

if not ill just have to buy a new amp

EDIT: but if the wires for the subs arent even connected should the power LED turn on

I believe that the amp should still turn on. Mine does.

i checked the voltage at the amp and it was 4.47 volts

that may be the problem if that is the case....is it ran off of a seperate battery?
