sorry if i didnt see it earlier but how did you convert your explorer to manual.. or did you buy it that way.... i was jsut having a talk with my friends about how weird it is that SUV's rarely come in manual if at all that i have seen

explorers with the v6 4.0L OHV engine have the option of a manual or auto ******. all the other engines are standard with auto trannys i believe.

my advice is to stay away from the OHV v6 and go with the SOHC v6 instead. more hp, more torque, better gas mileage. just a better overall engine, but comes standard with auto i believe. i know you arent looking at explorers or anything, just decided to include the info lol.

sku: cant really compare as i never got the bl's working 100% and i have only listened to my friends bl's a few times. i am very happy with the BTL right now though. im glad i stuck with the 15" version because it gives me room to put another btl and kx2500 in the future for more output //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. i can say with 2.5-3kw in 4 cubes or so, it will satisfy most anyone, except for the most SQ based guys. the lows are AWESOME though for sure. the only sub i have heard that beats my buddies 15" xxx. both of these subs are true low end monsters.

-its a good bit louder than the xxx at all freq's. the xxx is still a **** good sub. and i mean **** good. the plus side is though that the btl doesnt roll off as fast as my buddies xxx.

- metered? eh, i wouldnt mind seeing what i am doing for sure, but i hate trying to find someone, setup a date, and then go through with it. i could go on a search for a shop to test it, but i certainly dont feel like paying go get a number reading

- nope, not concerned at all about the tinsel slap. its barley noticible, even in my suv. and from what i have noticed, it doesnt seem to affect too much. the felt seems to be doing its job, and the spiders only have little smidges in them from the tinsels. from what i hear there are quite a bit of spiders there as well, so its not even close to clearing the first one. i will definatly keep my eye on it for sure, and if it does start doing something negative, ill just ask scott what to do.

update: messed with the settings a bit. am happier with it now. adjusted some filters, settings on the HU etc. its a good all around sub i think. good daily driver IMO.
