Do i need new speakers?

So i got new alpine head unit to replace the old pioneer in my celica, but now i cant go over the volume of 3 because then it starts to distort and sound like shat, what do you make of this?

voume 3's not very high...lol

have you messed with the eq or bass levels on the deck

yeah i was playing with it, but heres the thing volume 3 isn't really quite its kinda loud

could this be a wiring problem
