Problem

It's not the port had box for 3 years does it no matter what amp I use.

Most likely bottoming out. Coils are hitting the back plate of the motor. Do this enough and you will get a sound constantly even at low volumes. Might be time for some new subs.
 
Box tuned to 41 ssf is around 35.
Could be a couple things. The sub's suspension may have softened up and now they're bottoming out at a volumes they used to play fine at. Spiders, dust caps and surrounds can all come unglued. Tinsel lead slap is another possible issue. The enclosure may have developed a leak. You might consider an enclosure that is tuned lower.

Using a Y RCA to split signal from amp to amp to give both amps the signal they need from the HU and subs in different /separate enclosures tuned...
