Pioneer Head Unit - USB Sound quits for 1-2 seconds when I hit a bump

Hi,

I have been searching high and low for what might be causing this, or if it is a "feature" of the head unit itself.

I will be driving along, listening to music via USB drive, when I hit a bump the sound stops for 1-2 seconds, then comes back on. Checked the wiring, that all looks fine. Occasionally I will hit a bigger bump and it will give a format read error. Unplugging the USB and putting it back, picks up the song where it left off.

I drive a Honda Civic Si and feel pretty much every bump in the road, so it gets pretty annoying. Any thoughts on how to fix it? Or recommendations for a replacement?

Head unit is Pioneer DEH-S4120BT
