Hello peeps hey so I have a bit of a situation,, I have a 2007 Cadillac CTS that I have been installing a system on now for a while it’s a pain but fun car,

here is the question

the head unit is still oem if you guys don’t know these car have the “driver info” section here as well as other functions such as the traction control and millege trip info as well as other important settings I really want to replace with a nice doble din with a back up cámara but.. I don’t want to lose the functionality of the oem anyone have any suggestions as to how we might be able to do this? Also I want to keep this covertion of the head unit less than 600$ in parts I can do my labor. Thank you in advance

You can just get an HD screen with a back up camera seperately mounted however you want. As for audio, get a dayton DSP plus the dayton bluetooth dongle. You'll be playing music from your phone to the dongle to the dsp skipping any kind of head unit completely from the signal path which means you just leave your oem stock head unit as is without touching it..   The sound quality is 1000x better than any head unit out there and the audio tuning features are beyond ridiculous and gives you 8 channels of RCA output.  its 150 for the dsp and 30 for the dongle.  the screen and backup cam is another 70 or so so 250 for everything together and you'll have audio results 1000x better than any 800-1200 dollar double din head unit can ever hope to give you.

However if you just want a head unit for looks and toys and features then someone else can help with that.

Hello jeffdachef thank you for your response currently I’m installing a parrot Bluetooth kit and let me tell you what a nightmare this car is, but you are completely right I will do a separate screen for the cam thank you!!

he could also do an ipad conversion from soundmanca.com. Ive never seen a kit specific to that vehicle, but im sure that he can do one. Or he can make his ***** Rafa do it(totally joking when i call Rafa his *****, just going along eith the theme of his channel :D  )
