I have an old road thunder 2200x, has anybody used one bridged on subs? I know most of the old school MTX amps were underrated, some quite drastically...

Says on the bottom cover: 

@12.5 volts, 4ohm, 1% thd= 400w rms 

@14.4 volts, 4ohm bridged 1% thd= 425w 'dynamic'  IHF 202 rated

Amp has 60a of onboard fusing

Can I expect 500w RMS? Your opinion? Not much info online. Thanks

Mitek did underrate their flagship stuff, and short of Xtant, MTX was their flagship. if i was to guess, 450 would be a good approximation

edit: just saw that you registered 12.5 years ago and have over 13000 posts. sorry to reply with stuff you already probably knew

best to buy from people on here or other trusted forums or (shall i say it) facebook. There are many solid dudes on there, but a ton of idiots who like to pop off and run their mouths when they are dead wrong, so i dont trust those guys to ship an already dead housefly

2 12 Mtx terminators and 1000 watt pioneer amp 2 channel
You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs,and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...

Mtx 240 white edition
The 240 should be 2x40/ 2ch. rated at 11.9v. Should generate close to 50+ @14v rms. Only Rated @4 ohms bridged Mono.. Should be around 125 rms...
