Stereo for 2006 Dodge Stratus

my Nephew has a 2006 Dodge Stratus that he bought for $2,000 about 3 years ago. , I worked on it on and off for the last 2 years , brakes, oil pan, timing belt, water pump, thermostat, battery, alternator, tires and balancing. For Christmas/Birthday or Birthmas he wants a stereo for the car that plays DVDs and has a Aux USB port , I would suppose he can hook up an android or iPhone or tablet and play music through the car stereo.

1. what is a good stereo for around $80-$100

2. do I just by the stereo and then buy an adapter kit for the car ?

there really isnt a good one for that price range. The stratus standardly takes a din and a half unit and adapter kids can be had for around 15 to 20 to make the 1.5 din a double din to accommodate the larger radio. Dont fall for the lure of a boss or power acoustik and their price. A decent enough pioneer can be had for around $180

I think I made a mistake that you thought I wanted a DVD player to play movies or whatever, no sorry should have said a Stereo with a music cd player. what about Pioneer? any suggestions?

oh, yep. when you put dvd in the OP, i assumed that you wanted a double din dvd player for movies.
