If you bridge a 4 channel amp down to two channels... will it still be stereo?? It would be using a stereo 2 channel input. The goal is to have it be a stereo signal. Would I need Y adapters for the RCA inputs?

I am wanting to use 3 amplifiers powering 2 tweeters, 2 small mids, 2 midwoofers, 1 subwoofer. Amps - US Acoustics - 4ch Barbara Ann (tweets and small mids), 4ch Lisa (this one bridged to 2 channels to power midwoofers) and 1ch Mike (subwoofer).

I am asking because I don't know how amplifiers go about bridging. I know it will take a left and right (stereo) signal and sum it to mono. But what is it inside the amp after it is bridged?? Is the whole amp now mono or is there a stereo signal comprised of the two mono channels?????

yes, you can bridge and retain stereo.

A lot of amps have a 2/4 ch input switch, but I don't see that option with that amp.

So use y cables for your l/r signal cables.  Lefts into ch 1/2, right/s 3/4 which gives you L bridged on ch 1/2 and R bridged on 3/4.

Thank you... my brain was leaning that way. My worry was is the amp split internally... 2 channels on one side and two on the other. Thanks again.

I actually bought my Barbara Ann from SSA when it was under $200. This amp is a beast. Clean and loud for sure and has NEVER got hot on me, has never shut down.
That is awesome to hear, thank you.  The Lisa has been a strong choice for a number of people wanting great power for the dollar in a 2 channel.  (bridging it of course).
