So recently I upgraded all 4 door speakers using the lc7i (6 channel LOC). I have 2 channels left to run subs. I am interested in sporting 2 Infinity Kappa 800w, and 1 Infinity Kappa 1000w in the rear deck of my fusion (infinite baffle).

The Kappa 800w has a 400 watt rms with 1600 watt peak. Selectable 2 or 4 ohm impedance.

The Kappa 1000w has a 450 watt rms with 1800 watt peak. Selectable 2 or 4 ohm impedance.

My question is..

1) How would I setup all 3 subs to run off a single 2 channel amp?

and

2) What be the necessary power output for an infinite baffle setup?

I was thinking it would be fine to run the 2 800s off 1 channel, while reserving the other channel for the 1000, no?

You said you have a lc7i but never said what amp you have but either way run the pair or run the single...you didn’t say sizes of the subs either...

The amp im currently using is the pioneer gm-d8604 to power my door speakers.

The 800w is an 8" sub and the 1000w is a 10", so 2 8s and 1 10 is what I would like to add on a seperate amp, for which a recommendation would be helpful:) and if it would be possible to use a 2 channel amp as the lc7i only has 2 remaining channels, or is there another way of going about this setup?

Sure, you can hook them up, and sure, they'll make noise, but when you start combining different cone sizes and enclosure types all sorts of unpredictable interactions will happen and they are rarely (never) positive.

I guess you'd have to run the 8's at 4 ohms and wire them parallel.  That'd get you a whopping 75w rms each.  Then you could run the 10 at 2 for 150w.

Personally - I'd sell all 3 and get a good 12.  The right ported box and 300w rms should get you sounding pretty good.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

If they had an orange basket I would have to buy them.... Hmmmm Sell my 4 Xs and get 6 of those and do no-wall again with one more 4500.....

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...

Look at the Alpine Type S subs.
