Hi all, I'm back. I'm in search of a set of tweeters to replace one of my MB Quarts component tweeters that went out. It's from the QS216, if anyone is familiar with that model. I really loved how awesome vocals sounded through these and would like a recommendation based on that criteria. Obviously I would be replacing both.

I've browsed the forum and some of the recommendations that jumped out at me are below, but I'm open to other suggestions. I'd like to keep the cost below $100.

Tweeter location: I have the tweeters on top of the dash and have aligned the axis to meet at ear-level between the driver and passenger seat. Is that on-axis? Idk.

Power: I'm powering them with 40 watts RMS TOTAL Mobile Audio amp and will use the in receiver cross-over as well as the MB Quarts component crossover.

Let me know your thoughts!

I actually use the CT-2s and They are great for good sounding and high output, I'd recommend 100 watts or more applications to the tweeter.  The crescendos are overall less capable than these from my personal listening experiences. Does not play as low.

However these alpine type X surpluses actually have much better sound quality but less output and power handling capabilities. I actually replaced all my home theater tower tweeters with these, very good high end detail and smooth, great for SQ applications and doesnt require a lot of power.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the input. I actually saw the Alpines previous but the link was to the pods that they come in. They have a pretty interesting design. I'll move them to the top of my list if I don't get any other replies!
