Jbl ported casing for alpine type R?

box looks to be 1.85 or so cf BUT that doesn't count port or sub displacement.. if port is about 2" wide x 13.5" high x 13' deep that would be .2 cf and whatever sub disp is so like .15 = 1.50 cf ad at best and port would be tuned way to high man.. u really need 2cf ad ported tuned lower (35 hz) so over all box would be like 9" wide and squared back 15 deep and tall.. port size dpend on how much power u have to it too though but that box just really ain't right..

Look at the difference in size between what you're trying to use and the box below...



That's for an older type r 12, ported for some decent power. I don't remember how much but it's probably for full rated and then a bit more. It's around 3.9ft3 gross but should get loud and low. 

Stuffing that sub in a smallish box probably will not end up well IMO.
