I’m considering a JL MX500/1 amp for my 98 Firebird. I like the compact size, and water resistance.
However, I’m getting mixed responses: JL itself says don’t even try to install it in a car because it goes into auto-protect with 15volt surges.
Crutchfield says theres no issue using it in a car.
I’m curious if anybody here has used this amp (or any of the MX series) in an automobile? Was there any issue?
