Hi Guys,

So, i've recently purcahsed a new used car a 2012 Nissan Navara Dual Cab.

I'm looking to put together a first sound system for as budget price as possible, I'm currently looking for direction and to see if I am spending money in the right places.

As a total amount for the front speakers, amp, sub & headunit I'm looking at spending a max of $1,400 AUD.

I'm looking for input, suggestions and criticisms to get the best system possible for the best price, this is just a first build and I'm not looking at doing anything crazy with it.

So far this is what I've got together.

Headunit - https://frankiesautoelectrics.com.au/pioneer-avh-z5150bt-7-multimedia-player-w-apple-carplay-android-auto-bonus-rcamavic/#

Speakers (My car factory only has speakers in the front) - https://frankiesautoelectrics.com.au/polk-db6502-db-series-6-5-inch-2-way-component-speaker-system-300w-ip65/

Subwoofer (As the car is a ute, a slimline option is required - I will be building a custom mdf box) - https://frankiesautoelectrics.com.au/pioneer-ts-sw3002s4-30cm-shallow-mount-4-single-voice-coil-sub-1500w-max-400w-nominal-input/

Amplifier (To power front split speakers & subwoofer) - https://www.elite-electronics.com.au/In-Car_Entertainment/Amplifiers/Multi-Channel/Fusion_PF-8003D_3-Channel_2400W_Speaker_Subwoofer_Amplifier?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3p204fCx3AIVQ6mWCh1wvQPgEAYYASABEgJqSvD_BwE#incar-amp-multi

Am I going in the right direction, or is there a better area money can be spent to achieve a better result from the same price range.

no telling price diff there.. those shallow mount subs aren't good man., if u have any room at all get a pioneer 3004 if u can (since u looking at pioneer and idk what else u have over there) idk the amp but we have a guy here that test amps on his youtube channel and we know that pioneer amps like the 8604, 8601 &9601 all do rated or more than rated power.. rockford prime amps are good.. maybe tell us what other options are and if u must use a shallow mount sub

Thanks for the post.

As I stated previously, it's a dual cab Ute with not much space.

The bigger area for space that I could fit a sub is going to be behind the rear seat, so a slimline is my only option.

As for amp, Can I use a 4 channel amp for the speakers an I have 1 channel to each side of the speakers and then bridge 2 channels together for the sub?

Is this the best way to run my system?
