Tweeter placement

Of the two circled places, which is better? I don't want to cut my doors to mount them


2002 Honda Accord sedan V6 (automatic slushbox)

2 Rockford p3 12s (dual 2 ohm)

Pioneer AVH-2300NEX

2 PPI PC275's running 1 sub each atm, waiting to put the SQ 2200.1 back in and add the PhoenixGold Elite.4 once my electrical is up to snuff

Front stage:PRV Audio 6MB200 6.5 and Massive Audio CT2 tweeters

Rear speakers: stock

I just added 5 SoundQubed stickers, and despite having no equipment upgrades, it added 76 DB!!!

double sided tape.

 

if its those ct-2 tweeters, put them into the mounting kits and put one screw on just to hold it in place, you dont even have to run wire through the door yet... just test it out. See which way sounds best.

im thinking the a pillars. they dont move when the door opens LoL

its different with every car, dont shoot yourself in the foot by just relegating to that option without even testing the sail panel.

 

Get double sided tape and test every location possible. This is an extremely important step that you cant fk up with IMHO.

A pillar is better ..closer to equal wave path lengths

that was my thought too. but ill give them both a shot with the double sided tape

Don’t just try different spots. Try different axis. That’s more important.

Pillars also have a lot of dash reflections. Lay towels on the dash.

Don’t just try different spots. Try different axis. That’s more important.

Pillars also have a lot of dash reflections. Lay towels on the dash.

 

literally what made my tweeters sound crappy when I tried them on the A pillars. Nasty peaks left and right. I get zero with sail panels. His tweeter mounting kit has adjustable axis swivel.
