2$ DIY clipping detector

Thanks so both wires go in line with the pos? I just want to br sure im understanding this correctly.
What i did was just adding a pos and negative run from my speaker output terminal straight to the piezo which is paralleled to the subs. The amp is seperated from the cabin so i can play both and see my clipping point with a load. If your amp is by your sub, you'll have a hard time hearing the clipping point because the bass is too loud.
