I've looked around a bit, and have seen some folks using computers, some using cell phones, some using a dedicated control box of some sort. I guess the question is, for a daily driver, what would be the best route to go? I've looked at the Dayton imm-6 with a cell phone for the software. Heard good and bad about it. Also look at the UMM-6 and a laptop running room EQ wizard. Even looked at the Audiocontrol SA-4100i.

At the moment, I'm guessing the UMM and laptop would be the way to go, but wanted to double check.

Thanks!

I just bought the Audiocontrol mic. I have ipad air2 collecting dust so I said what the hell. I get it next week. I'll do a review on it.

I use REW but started with the Audiocontol app and a cheap Dayton Omni microphone. REW is obviously much better but the Audiocontol app and mic can get you close too. I verified it against REW and the mini DSP microphone and it was close.
