Help me figure out what these things are called.

I've seen these things that go on the end of wire to reduce them from a larger gauge to fit in an amp that will not accept that gauge of wire. Wire reducers I think. But what I want is the same thing but no reduction. I have an amp that accepts 0 gauge but I want to use the reducer like thing to keep the stands together and for aesthetics. Anyone know what those are called or even what I'm talking about?

The reducers are like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XDP5S9C/ref=asc_df_B06XDP5S9C5175866/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B06XDP5S9C&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216499414469&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=466462373065463322&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016355&hvtargid=pla-349773615493

No no. I get there are reducers. But I want to put 1/0 gauge in and have the solid piece that goes into amp also 1/0 gauge. Solder idea is good but would prefer the hardware piece of it's made.

bullet connectors, but they dont make them for gauges larger than 4.

your best bet would be to buy female-female 1/0awg barrel/set screw butt connectors and use a short copper rod with tight diameter tolerance for a male end into the amp terminal, otherwise, soldering just the very end of the wire to keep the strands from splaying will still allow you to crank down on the copper wire itself with the amp terminal set screw to mushroom it out for better contact.

Are you saying you wanna use a smaller power wire to go into the amp than what the amp calls for which is 1/0? That's not really a good idea ,man. Here's why: that wire will heat up and may melt if you ever decide to go full tilt on your stereo one day/some day. You'll def put a strain on it....may end up ruining it down the road.

What amp is it?

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
