considering the 3000 is only 5 dollars more i dont see the reason in getting the 2400 lol

apparently from the reviews from a guy with actual testing equipment, he only got 1600 clean out of the "3k" Most are getting 1.5k so can safe to assume the amps are rated for peak power.

Pull it and test it at the battery post. Simple Power up test to verify if it powers up fine out of protect mode. if it does then Id be checking...
