i decided to buy a MAXP154D for cheap off amazon just to see what it would do in a 2.5 cubic foot sealed box. I know the only good line is the optidrive but decided to do this for fun.

Well they claim 1000 rms and it's no where near that lol. Had it hooked up to a old school Rockford 550s bridged at 2 ohm and the sub lasted 2 days lmao. The coil turned dark brown and It bottomed the voice coil former out on the back plate and broke off the glue holding the voice coil to the former and started making a horrible pooping noise. It even dented the former.

I know the amp I was running is a little powerhouse, rated 550 rms at 4 ohm bridged and the birth sheet from Rockford says over 600 rms and I had it wired to 2 ohm bridged. So the sub was t seeing the rated rms with the impedance rise from the box. If you decide to buy one of these I recommend running about 300-500 rms before impedance rise to them or they won't last long at all.
