Do you consider impressive or at least above average? Opinions and or any statistics on the average system.

Just curious I want to know what is considered good for comp purposes and what would you consider good for loud yet musical purposes

Since your from Michigan and lots of 150db+ people here. I'm not easily impressed with anything. Takes 160db at 25hz to impress me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But really. If I have to pace my breathing I'm impressed. If you have a huge bandwidth like 20hz-50hz 150db+ that's pretty impressive

Wow. Loudest I've personally heard were 4 15 inch VFLs at full power. 2nd loudest is 6 10inch XFLs. What part of Michigan are you from? I live in battle creek and there isn't anything I've seen within an hour or two of me that would really "impress" me. Biggest I've personally ran was 4 12 T1s black models and 4 12 w7s which put the T1s to absolute shame. SPL and obviously SQ

Depends on the vehicle and setup. 2 18's walled in a civic on 5k doing a 150 not impressive a pair of 8's in a Tahoe on 500w doing a 140 is decently impressive. Burp only setups are cool but I respect being musical much more . I laugh when I hear someone bumping 2 12's with distorted factory speakers. A loud clean front stage can be just as impressive as high tl scores

If you can find enough volume to run a pair of 18's properly in a Civic I'm impressed. I don't think we got more than 9 cube out of my brother's after all displacement. Going to test 3 12's once the warm weather comes back around.

As far as what's a good SPL score it is very dependent on the vehicle and equipment.

Depending on the sub 2-18's might be ok in 9 cu others may need as much as 14. If you have surface room I'd do 3 15's depending on motors tc9's I'd do 12's neo I'd run 15's.
