Mtx amp experiences? (Thunder TA7801)

I can get a used Mtx TA7801 amp for $140 locally and was wondering if this would be worth grabbing. I did a little research but didn't find much. The few threads I found, ppl seemed to like them, but didn't rave over it like Sundown or anything.

Pretty much, I'm just looking to power a single SA-12 and my budget is $150. Would this be the best amp I can get for that price range? Thanks

Mtx makes solid stuff. People dont rave over mtx because they have been making solid audio equipment for idk 30 years? Google the model number and see what they sell for on ebay new and used then decide. Also they have been known to be current hpgs so make sure your electrical is decent

 
Thanks guys. Ur inputs are reassuring for my decision. Will probably be playing 2x dayton ho12's with it if everything goes smoothly. I will probably be doing the big 3 upgrade as well.

Mtx 240 white edition
The 240 should be 2x40/ 2ch. rated at 11.9v. Should generate close to 50+ @14v rms. Only Rated @4 ohms bridged Mono.. Should be around 125 rms...
