New alt has smaller power stud

This alt isn't a HO or anything crazy for a build but I figured this would be the best place to ask. Got a new alt for my truck and the power stud on the new one is considerably smaller than my old alt. Will the ring terminal being loose on the stud cause issues with charging? Once I snug the nut down on the ring terminal it seems to tighten up fine. I'm just not sure if the stud being smaller will cause issues with possibly not getting good enough contact to keep constant charge going.
