So Iv been search'n an research'n a few weeks an I keep run'n into new factors to figure. Now im look'n at these T/S Parameters on wat i think are my final 2 choices. C2's Threatcon-2 12" rated @ 600wrms (750 version coming soon) or SQ's HDS312 rated 1200wrms.

Now the C2 seems to be the better choice not tht i understand the parameters but there lower an that seems to be better frm wat I'v read. Aslo iv read more power doesn't equal more output so there C2 also has the advantage seeing i only want to do a Big3 an under the hood batt only. So is the Threatcon-2 a better sub? Its only $20 more which is not an issue. Or does HDS's higher rms eaqual the parameters of the T-2 at half the rms, which then would make the HDS a better choice?

if you were thinking about getting that amp, either look into the Threatcon 4, or new C2 Team subwoofer otherwise, the HDS3 would be my choice of sub, and even then you're pushing it. Your best bet would be 1 HDC3 sir

You have to be talking about getting two subs. Running 3k you should do more than the big 3, since you only want to do that what kind of power do you want to run? For only big three most people will say no more than 2k.

I know SMD is trustworthy, but those numbers look'd a lil to dam good. But $499 is the PreOrder price i seen....

I was think'n Id start with 2HDS's an 1 amp. As time an money permits I'l end up wit 2 HDC312's 2 of either Recon2.4 or Q2200 amp's. I'l only hav about 12-1500 to start. An i need a complete overhaul....im all Boss an Kicker rite now. Dam ebay was giv'n it away....still i was jus dumb then

Yea 2 12's....I want to do a Big3 an Batt under hood (EnerSys HX300). But yea looks like I'l go with the P900.4 an either this Recon2.4 or Q2200. Either way i want 2500wrms for 2 HDS's.....dam ima need to find space for another batt SMH.

I would buy the recon and for that much power the hds3's. the c2's are nice but I dont see them handling that power daily

If he picked up the C2 Audio Team 1k's (thinks still selling for $219 ea) 2 of them would take the power nicely. I'm running one on 1500 daily and it's great. Chris was doing torture testing on it with a DC 3.5k.

Yea Iv got the Recon over the Q22. Im sure the T-2 is a good sub but yea....No.

If i had experience with the HDS3 I'd give my opinion. I heard the SQ isn't as good in the HDS compared to the T2 from a friend of mine. But depending on your goals that should determine the sub. That recon 2.4 amp though will put in work for you! They should be getting to C2 this month
