Need an amp for a SA E12 D2 (2 ohms)

We have the Precision Power i650.1 in stock and it's rated for 400W at 4 ohms. I have this amp in my car and it does a really good job, plus it's really small.

 
sorry, im new to this stuff, but the sub says 2 ohms, and the amp says 4 ohms. Does this matter? would it make a different rms figure? and how much is it?

 
The "D2" means dual 2 ohm voice coils. You can wire the sub to either 1 ohms or 4 ohms, depending on if it's parallel or series wiring. This doesn't change the power rating, but it makes an amplifier put out a different level of power in most cases. For example, the Precision Power i650.1 is rated for 400W at 4 ohms and 650W at 2 ohms.

Ohms is the resistance against current flow. Less ohms is less resistance against the flow, like water going through a hose. Bigger hose = lower resistance.

On the i650.1 this is how you should wire the sub to the amp:

Thank you for your reply. What if I wire in series for 8 ohm load ? Sorry for my newbie questions, but wouldn't it have better sound quality...
