4 400w rms 12s, nothing special, 2 3013ps, 2 xw12
I think you may be under-shooting this a bit... Going with lower end amp you really want to go with a higher rms rating than you actually need, I'd go with something rated for like 2k if needing 1600...

 
The AP1800 needs an inline fuse of 120A, which I don't understand because my PPI BK1800 needs 160A. Both are rated 1800wrms at 1ohm.

Could audiopipe be inflating their amp ratings a bit?

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

This may be an option for you as well. Im sure Amazon has them on theyre site also to be purchased. Great amps...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
