BC3500 in protect....

Like the title says... Its stuck in protect..... Im not sure whats wrong.... What could be some of the causes for it to be in protect?

Sub issue anything really I highly doubt crescendo will warranty it

what ohms are you wired at?

It could still be many many things a sub ground issue rca issue I mean a ton

what ohms are you wired at?

 

1 ohm... i dont like wiring amps down crazy low

Have you actually tried to do anything to figure out whats wrong?


Headunit - Pioneer DEH-P8300UB

Subs - None

Sub Amp - 2x Crescendo 3kwp

Front Stage - Polk Audio db651 Coaxial

Front Amp - None

 

Most properly done 15 inch subwoofers are not suited for car audio use simply due to box size requirements.

hmmmm....your box doesn't look like its made to be super efficient...

 

ummm. have you tried start the gain down low on the amp. and rolling it up and seeing when it goes into protect?

 

By the way. Be careful. Sending it into protect too much might pop something on the output (happened to me)

FML...... i dont understand. it was playing really low volume and gain for a couple seconds then just protected and stayed in it.

Have you checked every connection? Have you checked all fuses?

it was at low vol when it protected.

its not the fuses.... havnt had a chance to check all the connections, i had to work today so didnt get a chance to

Unplug rcas and speaker wires turn amp on and see if its still stuck if so unplug the battery power wire to amp leave ground and remote turn deck on let caps discharge then plug power wire back up and nothing else see if its came out of protect if not it needs serviced.

how do i know i know when the caps are discharged?

Yes you should get the common spark pop when reapplying the battery wire to amp that's when they are filling up. If you don't they didn't discharge and it could be cause amp needs fixed just try it and see more than likely my experience with nendo amps when they protect they are done.

Yes you should get the common spark pop when reapplying the battery wire to amp that's when they are filling up. If you don't they didn't discharge and it could be cause amp needs fixed just try it and see more than likely my experience with nendo amps when they protect they are done.
