I currently have 2 DB Drive PLT12WD 12''. Im not sure what the specs are because i bought them off a friend. He claims that they are 1000 watt rms each, but i'm not so sure. If anyone could give me details then it would be much appreciated. I'm looking for a good, cheap, and efficient amp to use because money is a little tight.

The DB Platinums are some sick subs! 2k rms a piece. If you want to push these to their wattage limit you're probably going to have to look at an electrical upgrade.

well maybe about 200-300 bucks...i have 0 gauge wires but the amp that i had over heated and blew. If i were to get a amp what should i look for?...im a newbie at understanding amps, but, i can wire any system lol.

I'll suggest a JP8 amplifier. I believe you can wire your sub to 2 ohm. It's Dual voice coil 4 ohm, correct? JP8 @ 2 ohm does 900 watts.
