I give up, every car I get rattles.

cars arent made to stick huge subs in, they are made for everyday user, not car audio guys who stick subs in that shake things that dont normally get shaken, everry car will develop rattles from the vibrations, its just a matter of time.... its annoying as heck though to try to isolate rattles, because once you take care of one another one develops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah, poop. I took appart everything to dampen it with CLD tiles and dynomat and still rattling like a ******* tin can.

Only thing that vibrates is the spare tire well... it's made out of plastic.

Nothing else rattles...

Deadener is to lower the resonance of a panel, not get rid of vibrations. Just the frequency at which the panel vibrates at.

Closed Cell Foam is meant to be a barrier between vibrating panels to prevent them and push against one another.

Mass loaded vinyl is to keep the noise in the car and the noise outside the car outside.

All 3 are required to do a proper job.

hey does the vinyl go on before or after the deadner? thanks

You put the deadener on the panels to calm down the resonance. Then you put any CCF where panels are hitting eachother, and then MLV goes over all of that. MLV should be your outer most layer so if panels are still rattling the MLV will act as a sound barrier against that.

ok thanks alot appreciate it

Pull the plastic put of the wheel well or try to line the plastic with closed cell foam or maybe even try spray on deadener.
