Why is dc audio so secretive about pricing?

Just was on the smd forum and asked why I cant see what the msrp pricing from dc is, and everyone jumped down my back. I just dont understand why I cant see any msrp or at least a ballpark of what this would cost, without having to call a salesperson. I looked on there site under the contact and it listed some stereo shop that doesnt even have a website only an email, and the shop is 40 miles away in bay area traffic. So is it against the rules for people to say how much they paid for these lvl5 subs in different different states? Im curious as to how much the price varies.

this is if you buy straight from DC. if you have a dealer in your area they will not sell to you direct.

DC gets mad when these prices are posted on the internet.lol. oh, well)

Are these prices still accurate?

I don't like that about a them either, but you gotta play by their rules. Their prices aren't much worst then anyone elses, but I think better can be had. Like I'd take a btl n2 over a xl. That's just me. And please don't go talking reckless about smd favored brands. Only bad things will happen

Bottom line is you will never be quoted the same price from 2 people keep calling around til u get the cheapest price hell DC will undercut their own dealers.

They pretty much just care about their bottom dollar

The new M2 models are out so jack up those prices by a little bit.

i dont understand why it bothers people so much. i mean if you are truely interested in buying, you will get a price quote. its not that hard to contact a dc dealer, there are a ton of them out there.
It is more of that they don't have any sort of standard or even MSRP pricing really. Also, as stated if you you keep calling the prices will change with each call.

Here is my issue with it. I don't care about not posting prices, but from a business standpoint I don't see where this helps them at all. They have to field a ton of "how much is this...how much is that.." emails/calls all the time while still doing daily business. This is much harder then it sounds as those emails take up a huge amount of time. If they want to be dealer based then they should stick to that and then maybe have a few online stores sell at or close to their suggested MSRP.

problem dont is that some of the reps dont follow the dc guide lines ,as far as pricing ,i on the other hand do.and if i make a sale good if not then so be it . as far as pricing here you guys go.i'll post all dc map pricing for you.
