i have a MTX TA81001 1500@1 1000@2 500@4

im selling all my **** and downgrading. im sick of spending tons of money on SPL, so imma spend $250 on subs, get a sexy looking box and run a decent daily beater system.. im set on 10s.. which will sound best and loudest on the power i have?

2 RE SEx D4 (600rms ea)= 1ohm

3 RE SRx D2 (300rms ea)=1.34ohm

4 RE REx D4 (175rms ea)= 2ohm

idk if cone area will win over wattage

Cone area is where it's at. That's what I would go for if I were you.

after imp rise @ 2ohm the 4 re's will be around 3 ohm..If you wire them to .5 ohm with imp rise you'll be over 1ohm final load..

take that into consideration when figuring the final ohm load for each setup as you'll beable to wire them lower and still be safe within reason.

im not spending more than $250

i may just have a custom sexy sub built, something along the Lines of a TC sounds woofer
