it has a chance to sound great with good gain control. They do 3 ohm so you but their 1000/1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif but you need any continuous power amp across different ohm loads such as the rockford cp or alpine or the jl slash series ect.
Any 2 ohm mono stable amp will run the W7 series just fine. I wouldn't trust it with one that is only 4 ohm stable. Running some impedance plots through WinISD, it is a no kidding 3ohms.
thanks all you guys for responding...on the hunt for a 1000.1. i really hate to not use this amp but i got that speaker new for so cheap... gotta run with it.
You don't need a 1000/1. No reason to spend that kind of money unless you really want to. Find an amp that does somewhere between 1k and 1500W @ 2 ohms and you're good.
