I need help!!!!!!!!! I just bought an 04 avalanche and I have not been able to find anybody thatcan build a box that fits under the rear seat and allows for the halfgate to operate without removing the box. Can somebody help me! I want to get the best sound out of it. I can only get a sub w/ a 5.5 in md to fit. I want to get two 10"s to fit or 2 8" if i can not get 10's to fit. I am only allowed about .5 cubic ft per sub. A vary tight fit by all means. Any suggestions on a box or subs that will fit. Any avalanche owners that have found a solution please respond. Thank You!

I know Q-Logic has a custom enclosure for 00-02 Avalanches ... they house a single 8".

Here's one that says it should fit your 04 ...

(same thing for a lot less - http://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/1227)

.5 cubes is pretty good ... should be able to find something nice to go in there ... single 8 or 10.

Another link to check out ... very good products here:

I would also look on http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pages and see what other people have done. There should be some custom enclosures on there that could give you ideas or spark you to build your own.

I enjoy doing stereos in Avalanches because there are so many possibilites ... but thats enough of me blabbing for now.

Thank you for your help. I have done some searching and found that the 12" Blaukpunkt saucer sub would fit. In fact i could get two in there. I am kinda worried though. Blaukpunkt has not been known to produce anything of a high quality sub (or that is my understanding) Have you heard of this speaker and wht do you think it would sound like? I don't want to spend that kind of moneyon a sub just to have it sound like crap or to blow in a couple of months. iwould be running a soundstream 10.0 1000 watt amp to them.

what about the bass. I mean right now I have 2 10" Soundstream Exacts with 1000 watts going to them. Do these speakers compare to the quality of the ones I have now? The ones I have now rattle my rear view mirror pretty good. will these do the same

Yes ... they're pretty darn loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What do you mean ? Like build something off of the midgate ? Behind it ?

I Mean Remove The Factory Midgate And Build A Box That Goes In It's Place That Operates Exactly As The Factory Midgsate Does.
