500 rms can sound really good
get a decent sub with some efficiency and build a ported box or sealed which ever you like

i want to be able to get it very loud, i will build a very good ported box for it. Just wondering some subs that do well off 500 rms

sdc2.5 / thread. One should get loud enough for any daily driver on 500 rms
I would try to look for a Boston G5 12, 1.0 cuft with a GTR. That's a solid setup for 500W.
