well I recieved a message of someone locally who was thinking about trading 2 Kicker L7 15's and a zx2500 or kx what ever. And I was going to build a fiberglass box. if I were to basically wall the truck off with a fiberglass box. Do you think these subs are a little much ported for a fiberglass box running of this much power?

yeah thats what I figured. I may just build the wall with all mdf. then just make some template rings and off set the subs to make it a little different. Tho a squared off sub ring isn't really the most aesthetically pleasing fiberglass box either lol.

min 5 layers of 2oz chopped mat with resin soaked up right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif no bubbles

well the reason I am possibly doing kickers is cuz a local guy wants to trade 2 new L7 15's and a zx2500 for it. thats why. I was looking for a sub amp combo in the first place. so.. yeah I am not a big fan of kicker either but for what this is worth might be ok.

Youve obviously never built an enclosure, thats less than a 1/4" cured

Ive done 2 fiberglass builds, one on 1000rms, one on 3000.

The only thing I can suggest, is to use MDF on the large flats and fiberglass the smaller flats and curves.

I used 18oz woven mat, and **** does it build up fast, its not very expensive either

Fair warning though: **** stinks for a solid 10 days after install

Why would you not be a fan of kicker? they make a quality product with crazy good customer service, the L7's on 1000rms a piece SLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAM, give it a good ammount of port and those 2 subs and that amp would make a mean combo

Do it

Ive built boxes over 30 fiberglass parts m8.

I said a 'MIN' of 5 layers m8 as ive seen guys on here do one layer with bondo

my box i built had 3/4in mdf for all the strait parts ad 11 layers of 2oz mat which equaled 3/8in thickness //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and under the glass mat soaked fleece //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they are loud. 6 cubes per 15 is alot of airspace requirement though.
