there are plenty of 6.5s that can give you good midbass output. The key is to do alot of work on your doors. Sealing them up and deadening them. A good pair of 6.5s on 100w each running 50-60up can put out some serious midbass. Just cutting up some doors and stuffing 8s in the there will give you less than desired performance.

Midbass is very directional....probably gonna sound muddy or out of the stage if you go center console. I would suggest doors or kicks.

IF you plan on using 8s make sure you are getting mid bass speakers not subs. there actually is a sound difference

Midbass is directional, thus you not only want them placed in the front stage, you want them placed to the left and right of your listening position. Putting them in a center console will not sound right.

they're goin to be at the lower end of the center console, pretty much where a kick panel would be but on a center console..

i dont think you would like them in the center, there is alot of music and voice that will come thru them. I would beef up the doors if I was you.

Nothing you've said here changes my previous response. Poor execution of midbass duties. Just because speakers fit there, does not mean they belong there.
