okay I got a US Amps MD3d that I'm running at 2 ohm! I know how to set my gain as I have just printed off directions but how many volts will I need to get on the voltmeter at 1200 watts? I cant find the formula anywhere and some help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M

That is correct. I like these as they are twisted pair and the RCA ends are thick and grip quite nicely...
