can I wire 8 speakers to a four channel amp:

I have a 600 watt 4 channel amp and a set of grand touring jbl speekers which are 2 6.5s and 2 6 by 9s. This amp is too big for these and cant turn it up with out distorting the sound could I get a second set and wire it to this one amp.

yes, I will be running 8 rsd 6.5 coaxials on a mb quart 4 channel. Just wire the 2 speakers together.

series the 2 when u wire them so each chan will be ran on 2 ohms. thats assuming the coax are 4 ohms each. thats all i did with my SS trc.6ns running 2 comps on 1 chan

dont run 2 streams of wire to the same channel, u will drop down the load.

it adds mad dbz then, in series those speakers would get like 20 watts

The gains all the way down. SoIcan wire 2 6 by 9s to the same channel then 2 6.5s to the same channel then 2 6 by 9s to the same channelagain then 2 6.5s to the same channel again:

yes you can do it that way

but u are pretty much getting the same power as you were to start with since now u r dropping down to 2ohms

edit- i mean u r still giving them too much power since u dropped your ohm load in half
