nah OP, audiocue can take more power to them then they list. Its just you can run their ratings and not have to worry about a **** thing. These subs are solid!

They can take a lot more power than they're rated for. I think DJ list a low power rating as a safety net for warranties...
I have a Sundown 3000d @ 1 ohm on mine. The sub doesn't get hot and doesn't have much excursion yet due to the stiff spiders. I'll be putting my second amp on it when I get it back from Jacob.

yea it can take more then that 2k daily and it will be fine.
i put 2k daily on my single hdc3 12, never gets warm and beats like a champ

dont forget the SDC's are the **** too.
