ok about a year back they broke into my house they took my towers,ps3 and other things...(I got lucky I had my optoma hd 80 projector back from repairs in a box and they didnt take that) I got pretty upset and lost the HT bug...

Lost my job about 3 months back sold my 42" lcd off my home theater room so all I had was my pj which needed a new lamp.

Well now I got my job back and bought a 52" lg 1080p 120hz and a 32" tvand a lamp for my pj, a ps3, an xbox 360.

I have no receiver, no speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So joetema what should I buy I know your the man when it comes to these things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I want to go 2.0 mostly for music. in the future I will add a center channel so I need something that can do at least 5.1 for a receiver and maybe something that has hdmi (doesnt need to)

I was looking at the bowers and wilkins speakers but I dunno which to get. I have a 6k budget for the receiver and amp and speakers.

thanks guys

I got addicted to computers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so I was over at overclock.net overclocking my computer and so on so on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but I really love dbdrag but the politics are nuts and my second love is ht so I will stick to that for now since its something my whole family can enjoy

oh ya hit me up man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ill respond tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I might fall asleep lol

if you want a nice reciever that can grow as your system does i'd look into a Yamaha receiver i don't know what your budget is but the sonic clarity of them is **** near impeccable.. i got mine for like 1,000 on ebay and it retails for just a hair under 2k..

so I found a denon 3808 locally for less then half the retail //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif in mint condition now should I get that or say wait for the 2809? or maybe something else? Please help guys asap I dont think that 3808 will last for that price.

thanks.

If you're looking for a denon receiver, there is a 4306 for sale for $650 on videogon. Beautiful unit, and has hdmi as well. Retailed for around $2000.

With a $6000 budget, I would look into getting a separate pre amp/processor and amp set up over a receiver. If you really want to stay with a receiver, then I would say look into Integra(Onkyo's upper line) or Rotel's line of receivers.

Here's a rotel RSX 1057 for $650 - 5x75watts, does 7.1 and has hdmi

Here's a rotel RSX 1067 for $695 - 7x100watts does 7.1, but no hdmi.

Both good solid units, just depends if you want the 7 channels of power for future upgrades, or if you want the hdmi inputs.

If you want to go separates here's Rotels top processor the 1098 and their big 5 channel amp for about $2000 total.

You could also take the money and buy a nice two channel amp if you are just buying the front two channels and add a five channel later on for your surrounds.

As far as speakers go, you can't go wrong with B&W. On my secondary setup, I have two sets of the 604's for front and rear, with the LCR 600 as the center, and It is an incredible set up for the money. The 604's have now been replaced by the 683's and are even better than the 604's imo. The MSRP on them, is about $1600, but you should be able to get them for better.

If you are only looking at buying your front two channels at this time, with a $6000 budget, you can get into the B&W 800 series like the 804s or the 803s.
