Need 2 decent budget 10s in my f250. budget is $80 or less a sub. requirements are they must be under 5.75" mounting depth and preform well in .75 cubes sealed. Amp is 900watts @ 2ohm bridged so the subs must be dual 2 ohm or single 4 ohm.

here are my picks. looking for decent SQ and good output. doesnt have to be IDQ/fiq quality. listen to everything but alot of electronica/house and rock

Phoenix Gold RSd10d $40

thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I like the The GTO 10's but they have a 5 7/8 mounting depth. a little too tight. i really need soemthing close to 5.5"

hmmm actually i just read the spec pdf for the gt5 and gto and the gt5 is 5 15/16" not 5 5/16 like on jbls website. the gtos are 5 7/8". and i could make the gto's work with some spacers

sounds like u have done some homework on this subject

i like the phoenix gold rsd's.. pretty good little sub for that price.. and sounds like it will fit the bill in both the size limitation, mounting depth and power

if u were willign to spend more, the possibilities will open up a lot more

YEah ive been at it for a week now non stop reading searching reading. cant decide im trying to put together a bangin setup on the cheap. if i had the money id go IDQ10v.3s but im trying to keep it under $200 for 2 subs

how are the Re audio Sr series? 2 re sr10d2's can be had for $165 shipped on Egay

http://cgi.ebay.com/2)-RE-AUDIO-SR10D2-SR-10%22-1200w-CAR-SUBWOOFER-SR10-D2_W0QQitemZ300294418131QQcmdZViewItem

i havent had any experience with the sr's.. but i have had experience with the SE's...

from what i understand, the sr's handle sealed enclosures better than the se's.. but the se's sound ****ed good in sealed or ported.. so i can only imagine really

anything RE is good in my books.. and that looks like a good deal on those subs actually.. good find

man i dont think i can pass these RE's up!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Cant really find any info on the SR's sealed besides a couple people complaining about output from them in the recommended .5 sealed. where everyone then recommending they go ported which isnt an option.

memphis msyncs sound very nice and clear, wont get insanely loud tho, but i think you would be happy with them...

id have to do single 4 ohm to get 2ohm from 2.. correct? my amp is a rockford t5002 putting out ~1000watts @ 2ohm bridged

just got a call form a buddy of mine. If i could get 2 IDQ10v.3's for $145each brand new they retail for $250ea. would those be worth going over my budget for? i hear they compare to JLw6v2's which is way in another leage from anything im currently looking at.

**** price points They keep going UP.. i know all the ones in the top price point will work well in my enclosure. but what about the middle area? will any of these work really well in a small .75 sealed enclosure.

For 2 subs shipped

$150 - $200

RE audio SR10d2 - $165

Memphis 15-MS104 - $184

JBL gto 1014 - $200

$200-$300

Aurasound NS10-513-4A 10" -$214

Image Dynamics ID10D2 V.3 - $245

Image Dynamics IDQ10D2 V.3 - $295

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
