what are the recommended saws to get to build a box?

do you know of any novice tutorials (e.g. the JL Audio site tutorial is a little too advance at this point)?

i know absolutely nothing except that i'll need to do some cutting and measuring so all advice is welcome.

thank you

well your gonna want a circular saw, a power drill, alot of glue, a jigsaw/rotory tool, and screws..

but one thing you should know is that your hieght*width*depth/1728=your cubic footage..

for example 12"*12"*12"=1728/1728=1cuft.

Tablesaw, jigsaw, cordless drill, router, (it all depends on how creative you wanna be) when I started out, I made ALL my cuts with a jigsaw. If you need tutorials, just ask some of the people here for pointers.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If you're like me and don't have a table saw, get at least two clamps and one long straight piece of MDF. That will be your ruler for the jigsaw.

Clamp the ruler parallel to the line that you want to cut. Make sure you measure the distance between the blade itself and the guide. Mine comes to 3.4cm. I use a small MDF block to measure my distances. Quick and easy.

If you can hang on, my 4 sheets of 20mm MDF should arrive by this week and will take pics of each and every step, get someone nice enough around here to host a sit eofr me on their server. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how many Mb could you offer? I guess I'll try to reduce the pixels, increase compression and all, but I might take quite a few. I know how daunting it is to actually build a first box (that's what I felt when I built my first) and need basic info on every step.

If there's a bit of HDD, then I could get a few movie clips of how its done too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just send all the regular size pics to me...I can adjust it all and probably make them all look better along with making them a reasonable size without losing quality...how many pics we talking? I've got a lot of space to work with.

Hmm, there's a 128Mb CF mem in the cam...

let's see, with wood-working pics, I say about 20 or more? (I'll reduce the pic to

As for vids, I guess it's when everything's installed and want show actual cone excursion of the subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm thinking of having a window behind it to show the baskets, and maybe I can zoom in on cone movement from he rear as well. Not seen much by most. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

RIght now, they are all ideas so....

I'll get into more detail once I start snapping away. Again, thanks man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
