i used cloth everywhere...
use mat. mat is better than cloth.

neither are best in a flat application...when doing something flat use wood as glass is strogest around curves.
true about the flat surface. but in general use, use mat over cloth.
for what reason? i heard differently.

I think its personal preference. I always used mat, because I felt it was much thicker, so you had to do less layers. But whatever floats your boat.

to me, cloth always seemed to be thicker and require less layering
When I fiberglass, I use cut hair from an Italian barber shop.

i like mat.. easier...

my flat areas I will be using MDF.......just didn't know if mat or cloth had a benefit over the other
